Chris and Graham welcome back former nerd writer Betsy Salkind. Graham and Chris both liked Star Trek but had some issues with it. This opened up a discussion about sci-fi and what types of sc-fi Betsy likes. Then Graham really enjoyed The Iceman as a movie but some of the portrayals were off, according to the real life documentary about the serial killer that Betsy watched. Then we hear about a new book that Betsy has written for called No Kidding about female comedy writers that choose to not have children and why. A pretty slow week for DVDs but who cares when there is a full slate fo good films coming out this week! This ep will make you lose your religion. |

Chris and Graham welcome nerd writer David Huntsberger to the Nerd HQ. Dave talks about his podcast Professor Blastoff and what films he watches with his girlfriend. Graham thought 42 was a solid film. Dave thought the 3D for Jurassic Park was unnesscary, but the film was still fun to watch on the big screen. Chris gives a shocker and didn't like To the Wonder. Two good films coming out on DVD and split opinions on the new Tom Cruise film coming out this weekend. Blastoff your life up with this episode! |

Neil is back with bad accents and kitten hands! Graham appologizes to the world for going to see GI Joe. The Croods made Chris mad. Graham thought The Host was both parts boring and dumb. Thank God Neil saw Evil Dead so there was something good to talk about. Graham liked The Place Beyond The Pines. Then all three talk about what summer films they are excited for. Two out of four good DVDs and some decent indie films this weekend. It is a scary forest of nerd fun! |
