*FILMS DISCUSSED: INHERENT VICE, TOP 5, WILD, BIG EYES* Chris and Graham welcome Rich Sommer, who played Harry Crane on Mad Men.  Rich talks about what it was like making Mad Men and how Inherent Vice was funny at times but made no sense. Graham liked Wild. Chris was glad Tim Burton made Big Eyes.  Rich thought Top 5 was funny even when the serious acting fell short. Rich talks about why he loves board games and gets bullied into starting a boardgame podcast.  Not great DVDs but Christmas Day is filled with some solid films and Into the Woods. This episode will max out the Chirstolph Waltz accent intensity meter.

Graham liked The Drop especially since he got upgraded. Chirs found Video Games:The Movie to be ok. Ben Acker liked St. Vincent. Ben Blacker like Life Partners and Obvious Child.  Then both Bens talk about their podcast and upcoming comic books.  This episode will make you do a spot on Italian accent.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE IMITATION GAME, THEORY OF EVERYTHING, HORRIBLE BOSSES 2, NIGHTBREED* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Kevin Avery into the Nerd HQ.  Kevin liked The Imitation Game but suggests drinking a red bull before. Graham thought the lead actor in Theory of Everything is Oscar worthy.  Chris loves the Nightbreed director's cut.  Kevin confused himself by viewing Horrible Bosses 2.  Then Kevin talks about his new podcast with W. Kamau Bell and working on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.  This ep will keep your face smooth and soft!

Happy Thanksgivng! *SPOILER ALERT: KEY ELEMENTS OF FILM, INCLUDING ENDING WILL BE DISCUSSED* Chris and Graham welcome Murray Valeriano, from Road Stories Podcast, to talk about Interstellar.  Murray's wife, Marry Zophres, was the costume designer on the film and Murray gives us some insight about the making of.  All three loved the film and want to travel through a worm hole.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: HUNGER GAMES, NIGHTCRAWLER, INTERSTELLAR, FOXCATCHER, WHIPLASH* Chris and Graham travel to Road Stories HQ to talk films with Murray Valeriano.  Graham and Chris liked Moking Jay.  Murray liked Whiplash.  Graham thought Jake Gyllenhaal was great in Nightcrawler despite some minor flaws.  Foxcatcher should get Steve Carrell a Oscar nomination.  Murray gives some inside info for Interstellar.  So-so DVDs and one good film coming out this weekend.  This ep will make you travel through a worm hole.

Chris and Graham show the Ear Buds Trailer, watch a clip from SWAT vs Devil and show trailers of winter movies.  Graham thought Chris brings a human realness to his Bulvanian accent.  Then first time guest Aisha Tyler pushes a special button and Joe McIntyre is back to talk films and his new series the McCarthy's on CBS.  This ep is the best #hardworkit you can have in your Ear Buds.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: BIG HERO 6, INTERSTELLAR, BIRDMAN, NIGHTBREED* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Mark Alan Miller and nerd writer Neil Weakley.  Chris liked Big Hero 6.  Graham wants all of you to see Interstellar on 70mm.  Neil and Graham split on Birdman.  Then Mark tells haow he got the job working for Cilve Barker and the crazy story behind the release of the Nightbreed directors cut.  It's an episode for even the savages that ride in coach.

Graham loved Big Hero 6. Aiko found a new meaning to My Neighbor Totoro.  Aiko talks about why she likes bloody, violent films and how Tokyo Drift was not as smart as she thought. Some good DVDs this week and Nightcrawler in theaters!  This is the Battle Royale of episodes.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: FURY, RUDDERLESS, THE BOOK OF LIFE, THE JUDGE AND THE VOICE OF PAUL McCARTNEY* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Paul Mecurio into the nerd HQ.  Paul tells his story of having Paul McCartney on his podcast.  Graham liked Fury. Paul liked Rudderless but don't watch it after a hard day.  Chirs' kids liked The Book Of Life.  Graham thought The Judge was a bad 90's film.  Not a great week for new DVDs.  Some ok choices in theaters.  This is the My Cousin Vinny of episodes.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: KILL THE MESSENGER, WHIPLASH, GONE GIRL AND MORE* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Steele Saunders into the nerd garage.  Steele talks about doing his podcast The Green Guide Letters at LA Podfest this year and why he liked Kill the Messenger.  Graham enjoyed Whiplash. Chris did not like Gone Girl, which promted a Gone Girl spoiler ep that will be out later this week!  Some ok DVDs and then Fury in theaters!  This ep is like Buddy Rich when he flew off the handle.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: GONE GIRL, SHRIEKFEST, TIMELAPSE, A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES* Chris and Graham welcome back horror film director and author, Christopher Alan Broadstone.  Graham and Broadstone really liked Gone Girl and David Fincher.  Mancini liked Timelapse, a film he saw at Shriekfest.  Broadstone talks about all his projects and what he wants to see from the horror genre.  This is the ep you will find in the woodshed.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE EQUALIZER, CHEF* Chris and Graham welcome back Keith and The Girl.  Everyone was bored and annoyed by The Equalizer despite Denzel's efforts to make the film better.  Then all four talk about how much fun was had at LA Podfest.  Like watching the Ear Buds trailer and hearing how Chris got so drunk he threw up after the closing night party.  This is the gypsy roof of episodes.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU, THE MAZE RUNNER, BLENDED* Chris and Graham welcome comic Kira Soltanovich back to the nerd garage.  Kira liked the cast of This is Where I Leave you but the script, not so much.  Graham and Chris were both let down by Maze Runner.  Graham had to suffer through Blended on a plane. Kira talks about junk yard dogs and Graham's dating mistakes.  The ep will let the dogs out. (Todd Glass is still guilty)

*FILMS DISCUSSED: CALVARY, FRANK, BLUE RUIN, UNDER THE SKIN* Chris and Graham welcome nerd writer David Huntsberger back to the sweaty nerd cave.  Graham enjoyed Calvary even with some slow pacing.  Chris thought Frank missed a little but still good.  David enjoyed Blue Ruin even with some flaws.  David talks about his upcoming comedy special and the origins of #workit.  This ep will be easier on the ears than saying "oil tanker."

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, ZERO THEOREM, SIN CITY, BOYHOOD, TEMPORARY FAMILY, BROTHERHOOD OF BLADES*  Chirs and Graham make fun of Kira Soltanovich for forgetting to come to Chris'.  Graham really liked The Fault in Our Stars.  Chris found new Terry Gilliam film, Zero Theorem, to be interesting.  Graham liked Sin City.  Chris thought Boyhood was great.  Then Graham talks about his Asia tour and the Hong Kong and Chinese films he saw.  This episode will make you want to become like water, my friend.

*FILMS DUSCUSSED: A HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY, LUCY, A MOST WANTED MAN, I AM ROAD COMIC* Chris and Graham welcome director Jordan Brady into the nerd garage.  Jordan liked A Hundred-foot Journey.  Graham was let down by Lucy.  Chris saw Guardians of the Galaxy again with his daughter and they both liked it.  Graham enjoyed A Most Wanted Man.  Jordan talks about his new fiilm I am Road Comic.  Some good new DVDs and Chris is excited about The Expendables 3.

Eddie enjoyed Snowpiercer.  Graham showed his nephews the original Star Wars trilogy on VHS and it was great.  Eddie talks about his kickstarter, The Bingle Bus, campaign.  So-so week for new DVDs.  And then Step Up ALL IN right past that dumb looking turtles film.  This ep is your father.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE PURGE 2, SNOWPIERCER, BEGIN AGAIN* Chris and Graham welcome back comic Sam Tripoli.  Graham liked The Purge: Anarchy, Chris thinks Snowpiercer was good despite some flaws.  Begin Again is a fun little indie.  Sam talks about his new comedy album, Believe in Yourself and how fun and crazy doing The Naughty show is.  Bad week for new DVDs but who cares because Hercules and Lucy are coming to town to kick ass!  This ep will make you love Elvis and clowns.

*SPOILER ALERT! KEY POINTS OF FILM, INCLUDING ENDING, WILL BE DISCUSSED*  Chris and Graham talk about why they liked Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and ask the question, "Did it hold true to the history of the original."  Get this episode off me you damned dirty ape!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, EARTH TO ECHO, THEY CAME TOGETHER* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, comedian/filmmaker Jason Nash.  Graham liked Dawn of the Planet of the Apes buts wants to so a spoiler of it.  Jason liked Earth to Echo but Chris did not.  Jason really liked They Came Together.  Jason talks about his new film that he wrote and directed, Jason Nash is Married.  At least one interesting DVD and then a mixed bag out in theaters.  It leave your ears clean shaven!

*Special themed episode talking about classic films*  Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer Allan Havey.  Havey talks how cool it was to be on the last season of Mad Men.  Then young Havey gives his annual report from the TCM Classic Film Festival.  It is a trip down Hollywood's memory lane that you will not soon forget.

*THEMED EP ABOUT SOUND DESIGN* Chris and Graham welcome sound designer Dave Schmidt.  Chris and Graham talk about Graham getting stuck in Chicago on route to DC for EarBuds. Dave talks about what is involved in sound design and why certain films win oscars for this.  Also Dave explains what was involved in fixing Laffghanistan.  A very insightful ep for your ears.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2, X-MEN, THE ROVER* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest writer Marc Guggenheim.  Marc talks about wrtitng for the TV show Arrow and why he loves comic books.  All three liked How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Graham more than Marc and Chris).  All three liked X-Men.  Chris and Graham both liked The Rover, even though it was slow paced.  Marc tries to defend Transformers...and fails.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: EDGE OF TOMORROW, MALEFICENT, SMOTHERED, ASYLUM* Chris and Graham welcome back nerd wrtier, Dean Haglund.  Graham enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow.  Chris thought Maleficent was only kinda bad.  Dean loves new indie film Smothered.  Chris and Dean tell the crazy story of Asylum.  Two good DVDs and some interesting theatrical releases.  This episode is more fun than a Bulgarian producer!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE LADY, SANJURO, GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, UNCHARTED WATERS* Konichiwa film nerds! Chris and Graham are in Hong Kong, Tokyo with Sandy "Big Fan Japan".  They talk about running around Tokyo filming for Ear Buds.  Graham watched The Lady on the plane and really liked it.  Chris finally saw Grand Budapest Hotel and was glad he did. Uncharted Waters is a good surf doc, according to Graham.  Sane talks about some of her favoirte Kurosawa films like Sanjuro.  If you spent your entire life looking for the perfect episode, it would not be a life wasted.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: Grudge Match, Jailhouse Rock, Anchorman, and more!* Chris and Graham are in Australia filimg interviews for Ear Buds and they have Aussie nerd writer CJ Johnson on the show.  Graham thought Grudge Match was just fine to help kill time on a 15 hour flight.  All three loved Jailhouse Rock and talked about some of Elvis' other films.  Chris had to fly across the world to finally see Achorman and loved it.  CJ talks about his play in Sydney and why Chris and Graham are insane to travel around the world to meet fans.  It is the first ever CFN ep recorded on foreign soil so enjoy it!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: X-MEN, MILLION DOLLAR ARM AND THE MARTIAL ARTS KID" Chris and Graham welcome martial arts icon, Don "The Dragon" Wilson and actor Jansen Panettiere into the nerd garage.  Chris really liked X-Men: Days of Futre Past.  Graham thought Million Dollar Arm was a good disney sports movie.  Then Don talks about what makes a good martial arts film and he and Jansen discuss their new film, The Martial Arts kid.  This ep will be a round house kick for your ear buds!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: GODZILLA, NEIGHBORS, METALLICA SOME KIND OF MONSTER* Chris and Graham are in NYC filming Ear Buds.  Chris thinks Neighbors is a OK rental. Graham was rivited by Some Kind of Monster.  Chris thought Godzilla was ok and Graham has a tirade about the lack of Godzilla in the movie called Godzilla!  Some so-so DVDs and a good weekend coming up for new releases.  This ep will make you fly through the Lincoln tunnel. 

*SPOILER ALERT: KEY PLOT POINTS FROM FILMS, INCLUDING ENDINGS, WILL BE DISCUSSED*  Chris and Graham welcome back Pat Francis into the Nerd HQ.  First they talk about why they loved Captain America: Winter Soldier and why they loathed Spider-man 2.  This episode is Rock Solid!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: DRAFT DAY, FILTH, FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH, AND MANY MORE* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Dean Delray.  Dean talks about going on the road with the Rolling Stones.  Graham was entertained by Draft Day.  Chris thought Filth was all over the place.  Dean saw Fast Times at Ridgemont High on the big screen and thought it held up.  And many more films are talked about in this action packed episode! Oh yeah, some boring nonsense on DVDs and Spiderman 2...I guess.

*Films discussed: THE RAILWAY MAN, NEED FOR SPEED, THE RAID 2, SINGING IN THE RAIN* Chris and Graham welcome comedian Alonzo Bodden into the nerd HQ.  Alonzo talks about his podcast and why Need for Speed needed a script.  Graham thinks The Railway Man is a early oscar contender.  Graham was in agreement with Chris about The Raid 2.  Chris saw the classic, Singing In The Rain on the big screen. Alonzo talks about super hero films.  Not a great week for DVDs or in theaters.  This ep is like a time-traveling train of good times!

*THE RAID 2, MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN, JOHNNY CARSON: KING OF LATE NIGHT, discussed"  Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Maz Jobrani into the Nerd HQ.  Chris liked The Raid 2 but thought it was a little long.  Maz and his kids enjoyed Mr. Peabody & Sherman.  Graham and Maz both liked the netflix doc, Johnny Carson: King of Late Night.  This ep is a Trunk Club full of good movie talk!

*Captain America, 20 Feet From Stardom are discussed*  Chris and Graham welcome radio host and comic Steve Cooper.  Steve talks about his radio show and podcast that interviews showbiz folks.  All three really liked Winter Soldier.  Steve also talked about why he likes documentaries.  Graham found Oscar winner, 20 Feet From Stardom, to be excellent.  Chris is waiting to buy his Hobbit DVD collector set.  The new films in theaters this week will make you want to see Catain America a 2nd and 3rd time.  Listen for your life!

*EAR BUDS UPDATE AND CFN VAULT WITH DOUG BENSON* Chris and Graham go into the CFN vault and bring you episode 25 from 9/14/2010.  They talk about The American with George Clooney, Resident Evil 4 and The Tillman Story.  It's a throwback to a simpler time.  Enjoy.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: MUPPETS, GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL* Chris and Graham welcome back writer/podcaster David Feldman.  Chris and his kids really liked The Muppets: Most Wanted.  Graham is a fan of Wes Anderson's new film, The Grand Budapest Hotel.  David talks about writing for the Canadian and American Oscars.  Ok DVD's this week and then THE RAID 2 in theaters!!! This ep will get your Ear Buds working!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: NEED FOR SPEED, THE HUNT, SINGLE MOMS CLUB, KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM*  Chris and Graham welcome comic and Probably Science co-host, Matt Kirshen.  Graham only watched 15 minutes of Need for Speed.  Matt liked The Hunt.  Chris enjoyed parts of Knights of Badassdom.  Graham found some scenes in Single Mom's Club funny.  Matt talks about UK films vs US films. Four good DVD choices this week and Muppets in theaters!  Bing! Bang! Boom! This ep will keep your ears clean.

*FILMS DISCUSSED:  300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE, NON-STOP, JOURNEY TO THE WEST* Chris and Graham discuss why the President is more important than CFN.  Chris was surprised how much he liked 300.  Graham was very dissapointed in Non-Stop.  Chris gives a big #workit to Stephen Chow's new film, Journey To the West.  This ep will drive Alonzo Bodden to CNN!

*OSCAR WRAP-UP WITH APRIL MACIE*  Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and funny comic, April Macie.  April talks about her podcast, Double Date and why she wants to get married.  Then all three go through the winners from the 2014 Academy Awards.  This ep is better than scooping up a wife from a poor villiage. and dragiing an oxcart!

*KICKSTARTER FUNDED!!! POMPEII, THE WIND RISES AND HAROLD RAMIS FILMS DISCUSSED*  Chris and Graham welcome former CFN intern, Keith Blomberg, to the nerd HQ.  They talk about how close to Seppuku the three lads were going into the final hours of the Kickstarter campaign.  Keith was forced to see Pompeii 3D and marks it as a #Leaveit.  Chris really enjoyed The Wind Rises #Workit.  All three nerds share their favoirte Harlold Ramis films in honor of the late actor/writer/director.  This episode is a triumph for your Ear Buds!
