Chris and Graham thought Star Trek was a good action film but not great Star Trek. Then all three talk about San Diego Comic Con and how fun it is. *FILMS DISCUSSED: GHOSTBUSTERS, SECRET LIFE OF PETS, PURGE, EAST LA INTERCHANGE* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and doc filmmaker Betsy Kalin. Betsy met the guys at SF Doc Fest and talks about a cool surfer doc she saw there. Chris saw Ghostbusters and liked it but didn't feel the same about Secret Life of Pets. Graham likes the social commentary of Purge: Election Year even if it's brutal. Betsy talks about her doc on Boyle Heights, East LA Interchange and the 10 years it took to make it. Also Betsy talks about Summertime a French film she watched at Out Fest LA. This ep is like a baguette and celery. |

*FILMS DISCUSSED: INDEPENDENCE DAY, GHOSTBUSTERS, THE BFG, JACK REACHER* Chris and Graham welcome back Tom Merritt. Chris and Graham didn't realize that Independence Day could be worse than their low expectations. Tom liked Ghostbusters and felt the trailers are misleading. Chris was disappointed by The BFG, but his kids liked it. Graham is the only one pumped for the new Jack Reacher film and is Never Going Back!! DVDs that can clean clothes and more! This ep is like a cuff link country club. |
